“Black on white, stories are written, and in my case, cut. I invent cities, worlds and situations. They are memories, associations of words, ideas, observations and thoughts that unfold in improbable juxtapositions. Each observer makes his or her own story in this accumulation of real or imaginary lives to remember the past and foresee the future.”

“Whether automatic writing or premeditated scenes, images pass through words. The creative inspiration comes from a text, a poem, or from a concept that I reduce to a mere title, or an amalgam of deformed words. Part of the pleasure is finding words that are identical in French and in English: word play, translation add complexity and meaning.”

“In my work of cuttings, artist books and public art, where there are full and empty shapes, everything must fall in place: one’s place in the world, one’s place in the city, one’s place in his/her body. In my graphic style, windows are used not to see out but in. The cutting blade traces labyrinths and poetic meandering. Shadows suggest danger but also opportunities for new adventures.”

“Everything is time and space. The viewer is invited to find his or her own way in these worlds.”

Béatrice Coron was born and raised in France and studied at the University of Lyon III, France, and Ecole des Beaux-Arts de Lyon. After living in Egypt and Mexico, she found her creative home in New York City. Coron is an internationally exhibited artist who uses the cutout method in her art. Often created as multiples, the works are hand-cut from Tyvek. First introduced to the cutout method in her native France, Coron was further exposed to cutting techniques while living in China. In the last ten years, Coron has established herself as a full-time artist, and has refined her self-taught cutout technique. Usually working in the book arts, her work can be found in museum collections including the Metropolitan Museum of Art, the National Gallery of Art, and the Bibliotheque Nationale of France. She has received numerous public art commissions including the Burke Avenue train station, NYC through the Metropolitan Transit Authority Arts in Transit, NYC; and the Kostner subway station, Chicago, ILL through the Chicago Transit Authority Commission administered by the City of Chicago’s Public Art Program.

    Hey Coron,
In one of your art I see building some tall and some short. I see people in them probably working or living life in their nice apartments. I also see how tired people really are that they are using parachutes to come down of the tall buildings. When I see this I start to feel how people are tired of working and doing the same thing over and over. But is life and we have to deal with it. But everyone needs a break now from time to time.
    Great Job Love the work.

    hello coron ,
I just want to say these are interesting pictures of the city. I noticed you drew some of the buildings so you can see the people inside probably trying to portray peoples daily lives. id say very creative

  • 3 Omar // Nov 5, 2008 at 4:27 pm

it seems that the people are trying to have fun if not, they’re trying to escape something. hmmm…well i like the style you use. the art is nice.

nice work Coron i really like the third image it looks like NYC with the twin towers and its funny in way because that is really new york everyone in their own little world and the people flying on brooms and coming down on parachutes. I also like the first art work “balloon city” really creative.

    Artist Coron,
The Flower City piece is excellent. In this particular piece I see that the people in the city all lead different lives, but are joined together because they share the city. I also see and feel the many emotions displayed by the people in the piece. The entire piece gives a “real-life” feeling to it.
    Thank you for sharing.

    Dear Colon,
I want to let you know that your pieces of art are creative and inspiring. The piece of art that caught my attention was flower city. I can see the buildings their shapes are like a flower. I see people working, walking around, reading books in the library, dancing, playing, and running around. These images show how people live and what they do through their life. I can hear the voice of someone giving a speech, music, and a dog barking. I can smell flowers and food.

  • 7 Marc // Nov 5, 2008 at 6:12 pm

I like the one where a couple of the buildings look like the world trade center or i think it is the world trade center. It brings back memories from before the buildings came crashing down. As a New Yorker, it is very special to me. I remember where I was and what I was doing at the time when the planes hit the world trade center.

    Hello Coron,
I like the artwork of “ZCT,” because I hear a lot of noise, happiness and fun. I see a lot of people as if they were partying. I smell all types of scents like food and different beverages. This actually reminds me of a New Years worldwide. Each image seems to convey some kind of story. I agree that everything is time and space. Things come out well done when we put time and dedication to it. Keep up the good work.

  • 9 Jodi-Kaye Richards // Nov 5, 2008 at 7:51 pm

I love your art work. It is very different and unique. I saw a lot of buildings with people working or carrying out daily activities. I also realized that the people that were inside or outside of the building is always in a rush or at work. Your art portrays our daily life and if you want to achieve good in life you have to work really hard.
The one that interest me the most is Water City, 2005. When I look at this art I squealing vultures, people s screaming and in the background I hear the horns of the ships going off. It gave me a feel of a chaotic environment

  • 10 Phi Nguyen // Nov 5, 2008 at 9:10 pm

In the last picture, some people were running out to do what they have to which is like work and some people stays home to relax and to have some space to relax their mind. This made me feel that this is how life is, where we repeats our daily life events and sometimes we have a chance to enjoy ourselves with families and friends. This is what life really is.

  • 11 Flora Parra // Nov 5, 2008 at 9:13 pm

    Hey Colon
I love your art work especially the ZCT because it show two building that at soon i saw it i though it was the twin tower. I really like that particular art because the twin tower was the tallest building in the United State and seeing the tower bring memory that always going to be in your life. I remember that when the plane crash the twin tower I was in school, my mom when to pick my bother and I up and she tell me what happen, I was really scared because when I was coming home I could see the smoke from far. This day was a scary and horrible day that nobody expect that going to happen.

  • 12 Urivel Lopez // Nov 5, 2008 at 9:28 pm

    Hey, Coron
I really liked your art work. Each one potrayed its own meaning and its own identity. Two art works that stand out to me was ZCT and Flower City. At this run I am only going to talk about how and what I thought about Flower City. After I read this quote I immediately felt that you were saying that each and every person stands alone. He/she can have a free mind and think anything about an art. For example with this art since you really did not gave much details I can imagine that instead of flowers it could be aliens and the people inside are running to save their lives. While looking at the picture I can hear a lot of people talking and yelling all at once as if it was a party or celebrating any holiday. I could smell food and different scent such as perfume, flowers etc. I could feel the humanity of all the people gathered together. Keep up your good work. :)

  • 13 Salma Khan // Nov 5, 2008 at 10:33 pm

I felt that this piece of work really stood out to me because it is a drawing on New York. It was before the twin towers fell. Even though you might not now what your neighbor is doing, most likely they are doing something similar to what you are according to this piece. It is actually reflecting reality more than we might not realize.

  • 14 Jose Magana // Nov 5, 2008 at 10:36 pm

I can really see where you are coming from but I can not say I feel what you feel because that can happen beacuse ones feeling can’t compare with someones elses feelings beause it is ones own personal experiences. I could ralte to your art work and do something similar but it can mean something way different. Good job and keep it up !

  • 15 Lizbeth Portillo // Nov 5, 2008 at 11:33 pm

    Dear Coron,
I really love your artwork and the quotes you add to each one of them. I really can say my favorite art work is the “water city”, i picture it as people in the city mainly in their aparments doing there normal rountines but dont know what is going on around the world as they cook, clean, dance, or write. Its like saying we do so many things in life without knowing what is actually happening at the moment.
    Very Nice Work :D

  • 16 Emmanuel Obeney // Nov 5, 2008 at 11:35 pm

I like the beauty of your artwork, it’s so unique and full of life. The two tall buildings in the ZTC reminds me of the WTC twin towers, in this particular piece I learnt that life has its ups and downs. I saw the water city and felt the abundance of life. Also the Flower City portrays the beauty of life itself. To me the entire piece signifies the joy of life, the happiness and the relationship between man and the environment.
I saw people dancing and having a great time together and I think that’s the way life should be. I believe life is a gift from God and should therefore be celebrated.
Thank you very much for the insight into life.

    Hi , Coron
I really like your pieces of art , they are really creative and nice. Two of my favorites art work were the ZCT and Flower City. As i read along this quotes made me understand that the message you are delivering is the way people can be free, and at the same time have fun. But also as i concentrate more on the drawings i saw how you have people having fun, celebrating some type of holiday, singing playing instruments and dancing. All of your drawings deliver happiness, and a lot of movement, Something that happens on our every day life. Also looking at them i can hear music, the smell of flower, a lot of noise, the smell of food and this is really nice i really enjoy your drawings. keep up with your good work .

  • 18 Evalise Lopez // Nov 6, 2008 at 7:25 am

    Hey Coron,

After viewing all your amazing art pieces, I came across one that caught my eyes. In this piece, I see three flowers that looks like buildings and each building have levels or floors that have many different activity occurring. Such as a party, dance floor, salon, a library with people reading, a restaurant, etc. Underneath this picture, a quote says, “Everything is time and space. The viewer is invited to find his or her own way in these worlds.” I believe this statement is true for the simple fact that people would often tend to find their own path to walk through and they would always find their own world. This art made me realize that there are many things happening all at once in many different places and the world is always active no matter where you may be. I feel that the people that are in the parachutes falling from the sky are the new people coming to a place from another destination to make a difference. I just wanted to say that each art piece are unique and the quotes fits each piece in its own astonish way.

  • 19 Jonathan Cruz // Nov 6, 2008 at 8:32 am

I really like your pieces of art, it’s so unique and full of life. ZCT because it show lots building and at soon i saw it i though of New York city. it really show the busy life that New Yorkers have on an every day basic. Its like saying we do so many things in life without knowing what is actually happening at the moment. Really nice work it was enjoyable, thanks for your art.

    Hi Coron,
when i looked at this picture i had to really focus on it. As i looked at it i tend to hear like wind, leaves moving and people screaming, and also foot steps. i saw trees, people running, grass and buildings that looked as if they were burning down. i smelled fire as well as trees. as i looked at the picture i felt lost because it can mean so many different thing. you can find what you want it to be in this picture!

  • 21 Jennifer Pacheco // Nov 6, 2008 at 2:36 pm

    Dear Beatrice Coron,

I was connected with Balloon City: A Floating World, which is very interesting because it’s a city but just floating around. Using my senses I imagined being there so I heard winds and people talking, I saw houses floating around and below me there was land that was green. The smell was natural like fresh grass and food people were cooking. I also felt cold because of the winds and just thought I was flying in mid-air. I really loved the art piece because it’s something unique and interesting at the same time.

  • 22 Alejandra Flores Nov/8/09 // Nov 8, 2008 at 9:53 pm

I admired your art work, looking at it I sense that it is summer ,the flowers are beutifying the park and the trees are giving shade to the visitors in the area. It reflects on the activities of the day.People going to work, getting their hair done, having dinner at the restarant and walking in the park socializing with friends and love ones. This work is a image of life.

  • 23 mary // Nov 10, 2008 at 1:39 pm

Your art work is amazing, especially ZCT,1999. I feel like I will find something new in it each day. I love the ins and outs of it. It’s so New York City. I feel as if I am walking down a NYC street looking up into the buildings I can smell the foul smells of the city street and see the smog rising from the sewer caps. I love it! I want it in my house! :O)

  • 24 Jarol Mueses // Nov 10, 2008 at 8:20 pm

I am not sure what the balloons on top of the buildings symbolize on this image but,
I see a group people working hard to keep their great city running.

  • 25 Samuel Forjoe // Nov 11, 2008 at 2:22 pm

You know, when I was younger I thought of this art as nothing but obviously that would have only shown just how young I was. Art forms like this are unique and bring to the table a variety of feelings based on ones own background and that definitely is an art. Where there is not one train of thought when it is looked at but is actually almost like a mini motion picture. Great works of art Beatrice.

  • 26 edwin rodriguez // Nov 11, 2008 at 10:10 pm

Nice Work, Coron. I like the work because it unique. Something in which i never seen before. My favorite is the one with the bird shadows. It’s dope because just like everywhere in the world, it has its birds. I like the sort of irony in which the birds are free and the humans are in the cages.. Go Nets

  • 27 Daniel Griffith // Nov 12, 2008 at 3:23 pm

Coron, I love your art work. It’s very unique. Each piece has its own story and each one provides an insight to life. I really like the ZCT piece! (Lakers are 6 and 0)

  • 28 Alejandra Flores Nov/8/09 // Nov 12, 2008 at 5:42 pm

I admire your work. It reminds me of life and its’ activity of the day.In this flower art it shows how society looks at people, they are placed in sections such as poor, middle class and the wealthy. In conclusion in whatever section you’re in there is some sort of work that you are invloved in.

  • 29 Paige Lightfoot // Nov 12, 2008 at 6:21 pm

This art work looks like you put a lot of dedication to it and it looks like it has a hidden meaning to it. It seems like it has flowers and flowers of course it means happiness, but I notice people walking on bridges in levels which maybe means that they have different social lives such as rich and poor. Keep up the good work.

    Dear Coron,

I really like how your pieces of art look like and how you use quotes to symbolize what you mean. Its very creative have a mind of imagination have you do. It’s very talented how you became of this art work. One of my favorite art work was the ZCT beacuse it remind me of New York City. New York always has alot of building and always look full of crowded buildings. I think your bless very good talent of art and imagination!

  • 31 Maria Leon // Nov 13, 2008 at 8:23 pm

Your work is very interesting to look at. It doesn’t look like anything that I have seen before. Water City is my favorite.

  • 32 GILLIAN // Nov 15, 2008 at 9:01 am

I find your artwork very interesting. You’re able to peek into the windows to see what each household is up to. Maybe I’m voyeuristic because I must admit that I enjoy peeking into windows when possible. I enjoyed the idea of a floating city but I think that it would be a great vacation spot and not permanent housing. It would be much too strenuous to climb up and down on a daily basis (for me).

  • 33 Shirley Brucelas // Nov 15, 2008 at 11:29 am

Very unique painting I must say. I find these painting very interesting in different ways. The one that stands out the most is the zct, the one with the tall buildings which remind me of the towers. Looking at it I see a lot of people being crowded like NYC really is, I hear lots of noise and smell different foods being cooked in everyone home, it seems to me its night time and everybody is going about their daily crazy life routine. I feel this painting describes our life style. I enjoyed her paintings a lot.

  • 34 georgette // Nov 15, 2008 at 12:15 pm

This picture”Flower City” is very interesting . It depicts urban life and what goes on behind closed doors, as well as in the public. It depicts a city unfolding just like a flower and it’s petals extending beyond our imaginations. It shows us everyday lives of normal people and families, and what makes them tick and exist, their uniqueness and their place in the world.

  • 35 Patricia Tai // Nov 16, 2008 at 3:53 pm

Coron, I find your work to be extremly unique and inspirational. I especially like the piece ZCT 1999 it reminds me of the area i live in (Brooklyn, Ny). Your work shows how life truly is. Your work is very interesting to look at. It doesn’t look like anything that I have seen before. I love your work keep doing what you do best.

  • 36 Alan Kellman // Nov 16, 2008 at 3:59 pm

I like the way you tried to depict the various perspectives of city life in each of your pieces. One in particular that stuck out in my mind was the one entitled “ZCT” made ’99; it showed the hustle and bustle of a city and how much responsibilities are being carried out to keep the whole community functioning.

  • 37 Genesis B // Nov 16, 2008 at 4:15 pm

Flower City shows a city that blooms from linking each other and communicating from one world to the other. Your art is great.

I really liked Balloon City: A Floating World. It very interesting to me. As I see the floating buildings chained to the ground I tend to see a story behind it. to me I see as urban society seems to distance its self from rural societies present day. But I feel that urban societies can’t grow without rural societies, because they need resources and other things from them. Very interesting indeed.

  • 40 Lorraine Williams // Nov 16, 2008 at 8:10 pm

Because of overcrowding in the city the buildings are much higher.

  • 41 Henderson Leam // Nov 16, 2008 at 9:26 pm

My favorite one is ZCT because I like how it makes you look on inside and not on the outside which can be related to many things one being relationships. It also makes you look at things in more than one way.

  • 42 Jasmine A // Nov 16, 2008 at 10:20 pm

your art work is very fun and lively. it makes out of the box of typical artwork and designs. like ZCT looked like one big party and i loved that.!

  • 43 Charlene Garcia // Nov 16, 2008 at 10:24 pm

Your art work is different but behind each of them is a story and reflects the lives of people. Each picture reminds me of where I live and helps me create a story about my community.

  • 44 Florentina Cabrera // Nov 17, 2008 at 1:44 am

Beatrice Coron is unique when it comes to her art work. She is inspired from everyday life and creates images that allows the viewers to see their own selves within the drawings. I chose the piece “Unique” because I liked what Beatrice Coron stated about instead of having the windows peer out into the streets she made it so that the viewer can peer in. When I first glanced onto the work I heard busy streets filled with honking cars and saw many different types of people and saw how they lived their lives in their homes. I smelled many cuisines coming from the different apartments. I felt as if I was apart of everyone’s life.

  • 45 Andy Perez // Nov 17, 2008 at 6:16 am

The buildings in the photo above show many different things going on. They show the ability for people to work, to play, to have fun, to simply feel free as the ones with the parachutes must feel. The idea of the buildings appearing as if they are going to tip over represent so kind of relief that people might have as they don’t have to worry. The image brings out the feelings in a person as it makes me feel tired as the people work or make me feel open and free as I look at the people with the parachutes. This is what the image makes me think and feel.

  • 46 Andy Perez // Nov 17, 2008 at 6:34 am

The image of the flouting city titled “Water City” really caught my attention as so much was acquiring. So many things that could be felt and seen. As above, Water City is one that captures your imaginations with the birds flying all over the place. The people in the images seem to be the captives or pets and the birds the owners or the pet partakes. The image makes me feel captured as the people in the image all look; they cannot go anywhere, they are sounded by water and inside a building. I smell nothing but I see feel the sense of water and I hear the birds flying as if there no tomorrow.

  • 47 Chelsea C. // Nov 17, 2008 at 7:05 am

Wow is the first word that comes to mind when I look at your works. They are absolutely incredible. I love the fact that they are abstract, because it allows the viewer to take it in whatever direction desired. It opened my mind to countless numbers of thoughts and emotions, whether or not it is that you can achieve whatever you want or that there are endless numbers of possibilities. Great job.

  • 48 Shakirah N // Nov 17, 2008 at 7:37 am

Coron’s Water City stands out the most to me because of its content and the tone it creates. The wires sprawled out across the canvas create the affect of a sort of cage, therefore the birds in the image appear to be encaged, as well as the city. I hear anguish, I see angst, and I smell fear. Within this image I feel the desire to break free and grasp beyond the lines to the space past the drowning of dreams.

  • 49 olivia ivory // Nov 18, 2008 at 1:04 pm

Beatrice Coron’s works are very appealing to me because her works have a lot going on. With so much going on it allows the viewer to have multiple interpretations, which can also lead to the viewer relating to the drawings. “Flower City” caught my eye the most with the blossoming pedals from the buildings and the way everything was connected through the leaves, pedals and stems of the flowers. My interpretation of this work is that through the life of flowers, which symbolizes beauty and purity, everyone resides.

I admired your art work very much. The one that caught my attention is the subway. It tells me a story of every day people life, and what goes on behind close doors, and in the streets. This art work reminds me of the area i live in. I could hear the thundering sound of the train, and smell the different scent of food throughout the community. In the near by apartment building i could see a couple argueing ,while a young boy walking his dog. Thank you for sharing your art, they are all unique.

    Hi Coron,
I like the piece Flower City. I can see people going about their own way. Some are exercising, dancing, feeding animals, playing instruments and walking. This picture is reflecting our everyday lives. Most of us keep doing the same thing over and over again everyday and don’t really take the time out to enjoy the beautiful flowers around us.

  • 55 Lenora Parker // Nov 23, 2008 at 4:17 pm

I like the piece Water City. I hear the birds. The whole picture looks like chaos and death. Ravens or crows flying around taking the people out of the buildings that they’re in. I smell fear and ocean water. Scared from this particular picture. The dark birds. The black everything. But now that I look closer at the picture, I think that the birds are actually helping the people to get away. The people don’t look like they’re scared after all. They look like they’re partying in the building. Dancing even. The people and the birds are in flight together. I think that there’s a dramatic state of confusion some what but I just can’t put my finger on what it is,

Dear Betrice,  Your art work seem very sentimental. I like the way you dicpicted the world in “the ballon city”. In the surburban I see a farmer working and a scar crow to protect the crops. In the city I can hear noise and see people rushing to get to work. I also realized you had a knight riding his horse. I guess we all hanging on to a world that is floating and drifting away from us. Looking at some of the picture it seems to have reality as well as fiction.

In the Flower City cut out everyone is very busy, the city is more established and life is routine. There is a lot going on, everyone at their own business. A beautiful summer afternoon, birds are chirping, dogs barking, kids at play and life is tranquil in this city. I would enjoy living here. Especially on an upper level, where the view is both beautiful and decorative, free to create whatever you like.

  • 59 Rebecca // Nov 30, 2008 at 8:32 pm

    Dear Beatrice Coron,
I enjoy looking at your art. They were all very interesting; the one that stood out to me the most was Balloon City. In this piece it looks like they were not enough space for the city so it was built in the air being hold up by balloons .the land is used for cultivation to sustain the people in the floating city.

  • 60 Amanda // Dec 1, 2008 at 4:30 pm

This piece called “ZCT” speaks to me. It is very interesting and loud at the same time. I hear people yelling down out their windows at others as a cry for help. There is madness. Sirens are blaring down the streets, babies crying, screaming kids, the sounds of buildings collapsing, and people dying. I can smell the smoke billows filling the busy streets, and the cloudiness blurring my eyes. The sounds of planes soaring and people dropping out of them with their parachutes are so clear. I can picture myself in the middle of this scene. All of the craziness that goes along with it makes me think of September 11, 2001. I feel as if this is what is going on inside of my head when I become stressed or really confused about something. This is the scene that occurs in my mind when all seems to be going wrong. The fact that the picture is slanted is clever as well. Not only is there a lot of craziness, but the picture is not centered which adds another element to it. It shows that the situation is definitely not right. Everything in the picture is crammed into a small space, and it is slanted. This adds an interesting twist. I can feel the weirdness when I look at the picture.

I was connected with “ZCT” picture. I think it portrayed hectic life. It is about people. The buildings symbolize the crowded. Clock shows the importance of life. I like this picture a lot because; it is similar to my hectic life. Details make the pictures beautiful. This is a very great piece of art. These pictures are very interesting. It makes you think and this is what is so special about it. I think it I hear noises in that picture. It is full of lives, full of fun and lots of hard work. This picture is equivalent to a story. It tells us everything. It portrays a life full of adventures. This is New York City. There are rich and poor in Née city. Many events going in there and many people are homeless. This picture carries so much inside. It is like full of secrets. You need to look closer to understand everything clearly. In NYC, there are many opportunities and very dangerous life going on there. I like this picture a lot.

When I look at your pictures, I see fantasy places; they remind me of what children might dream of. Using imagination, you have turned the world upside down. I still like it because the people in the pictures aren’t experiencing turmoil. They’re still doing normal, every day tasks; even though they’re living in the air, on the water, or in a flower.

In the third piece of work, I really understand the concept that you were portraying. I understand the reason why you can look into the windows but not look out of it. I feel that this painting is illustrating that everyone has a place to fit in the world.

The art work named ZCT really touched me because it made me think back to September 11. Many people do not like to think back about the tragedy that happened but looking at picture like ZCT makes me think about all the people that suffered, but how it also brought many people together. ZCT is a picture that shows the city as one and it is very inspiriting.

The piece called “ZCT” caught my attention because of the tall building and all the people in it. I love the city and being around a lot of people so that was how the piece of art caught eye. To me this picture seems like there are so many people in the world but we are all somehow connected back to one thing. Just like in the picture there are people in every floor and every window doing crazy things. This also reminds me of NYC and all the crazy people in it going to work. This picture looks like one big party.

    • I enjoyed viewing these paintings, they are all really interesting. One of my favorite paintings is “Water City”. Though I am not the most imaginative person, I like how Coron took buildings that look as though they belong in a city, and put them in the water. Who knows, years from now this could be a reality- small “worlds” in the middle of an ocean. The birds in the painting could be stress or responsibilities that the people in the windows of the buildings are forced to deal with everyday. These birds, the environment though, is not loud. It is rather calming, as water can be in most cases.

The piece flower city is my favorite out of all of them. There are tons of people including people walking on a bridge in the background. Though this picture is very crowded, the flowers on top create a sense of calmness. It looks like a big city like New York, where people are constantly rushing but the flowers change that mood into soothing. Flowers are pretty and bring a good energy. The saying, ‘sit back and smell the roses’ is supposed to cause people to relax during hectic times. This piece ‘Flower City’ illustrates that in its own way.

I like the piece “Balloon City” because it has a fantasy twist on reality. The pieces in it, balloons and buildings, are realistic but the amount of balloons and how they are holding the building are not so I found it interesting. I also like how at first Betrice Coron’s work seems dark but the art contains happy things that are colorful even though it is in black and white. It is not dark or negative pieces of work. All of her work has a lot of people in it and to me that represents life in cities or towns and how everyone is different but connected especially by where they live. I hear the sounds of the city and the hustle and bustle; cars and people. I also think circus or carnival because of the balloons which is weird because carnivals and circuses are not common for a big city.

Your illustrations show illusion to how everything and everyone is connected. You allow us to see into the buildings, showing all different things going on around us but yet were all apart of the same community. It reminds me of an apartment building being busy, loud and has funky smells from everyone having different styles of food.

I really do not understand your artwork all I see is chaos and confusion. I don’t get the point of the artwork. I really have no idea what it symbolizes but when I looked at the picture called “Water City” I felt something besides chaos. I started to see how the people on the widows look as if they are fighting. The people in the water and the birds flying around look as if they are trying to escape its like the birds and the people are stuck inside a cage and everyone is trying to get out. It kind of remind me like a jail cell where you have a bunch of people in a jail cell and everyone is walking around waiting for someone to bail them out. This picture really makes you feel like everyone is angry and pissed of.

I like the artwork of “ZCT,” because I hear a lot of excitement, happiness and enjoyment. I see a lot of people as if they were partying. This actually reminds me of a New Years celebration. Each image seems to convey some kind of story that everything is time and space. Things come out well done when we put time and dedication to it. the artwork is so unique

These pictures make me think of imaginary places. I feel like the places in these paintings are what people wish the world and other people could be like. They are very intresting and are open to a 100 different interpritations.

I realy liked the piece “ZCT,” when I look at this picture it makes feel happy and comfortable like I am at home again. When I look at this picture I hear horns honking, people screaming, fireworks going off from everywhere, and people yelling, singing, and screaing at the top of their lungs, partying like never before. When I look at the drawing I see people high-fiving, and chest-bumping, I see people hugging and crying on the shoulders off people they have never met before, I see a city united because of the simplest thing yet it means so much to us. I feel the weight lifted off the shoulders of players and the anger released by millions, I feel the tension in the air being lifted and everything, especially for that night, can not put anybody in a bad mood. Finally when I look at this picture, I think about and think back to about a month ago when the Philadelphia Phillies won the World Series, it was the greatest thing and greatest scene in he world, nobody could put a damper on that night no matter what happened. The city of Philadelphia had been deprived of a Championship for 25 years and going and when Brad Lidge struck out the last batter, the city erupted and never seemed happier. Some say it is just a game, but if anybody saw what I saw from that night and what it did to the city, everyone could see it meant so much more to the city, this meant everything to te city of Philadelphia.
